1. PROJECT REQUIREMENT

I. The scope of this project is to deliver, install and test, and commission the UTP cabling end-to-end from the user's workstation to the patch panel.

II. The tenderer shall ensure all existing network equipment/component/cabling is functioning before and after project implementation. The tenderer shall be responsible for any damage that occurs.

III. The tenderer must ensure that all UTP cabling end-to-end installations are done by an experienced network technician.

IV. The tenderer must ensure that the number of UTP cabling installations is sufficient according to the requirements of the UITM.

V. The tenderer needs to assign at least ONE (1) supervisor with Structured Cabling Certified to monitor the cabling works. The tenderer needs to attach the certificate to Dokumen Teknikal.

VI. The tenderer shall submit an installation report for each node completed to UiTM for approval.

The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in the form of hardcopy and softcopy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the item and accompanying software or the whole package has adhered to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before the final acceptance.

VIII. The comprehensive commissioning report must include the User Acceptance Test (UAT). The tenderer must also include other additional documents as proof if requested by UiTM.

2. UTP CABLING REQUIREMENT
|

|
|
I. The intra-building UTP cabling is required to provide network nodes with end-to-end solutions from the faceplate to the patch panel/access switch.

II. The UTP-based cabling system shall have a 250 MHz Channel Bandwidth over a maximum distance of 100 meters (328 ft) and a positive channel Attenuation-to- Power Sum Crosstalk Ratio (PSACR) at 250 MHz.

III. The UTP-based cabling system shall use matched components from a single manufacturer, and the cabling system shall be certified to deliver system performance over the lifetime of the applications for which the cabling system was originally designed to support.

IV. All components used in the UTP-based cabling system shall have a period of at least 25 years Extended Product and Application Warranty from the date of installation against defects in materials and/or workmanship.

V. The UTP cabling shall include all necessary items for a complete installation such as a proper trunking and conduit, patch cords, cross-connect cables, cable guides, RJ45 modular jack, and other accessories required to connect specified end-stations (faceplate) to the patch panel.

VI. All horizontal cabling shall be at least of Category 6 UTP cable or above and must comply with EIA/TIA recommended standard.

VIII. Adequate numbers of UTP patch panels shall be provided and must be equipped with a modular jack for the UTP cables termination in the proposed rack.

IX. All proposed UTP cables must be terminated into RJ-45 outlets contained in faceplates and UTP patch panel. Each faceplate may consist of one or more RJ45 outlets depending on UiTM's requirement.

3. UTP CABLE LABELING

I. The tenderer shall ensure all cable-ends must be labeled and the label must be easily read, long-lasting, and waterproof. Tenderer should label at panel, switch, face-plate, cables end, and etc

4. TECHNICAL/OPERATING MANUAL, ENGINEERING SERVICES, AND OTHER ACCESSORIES

I. The tenderer shall provide a user operating/technical manual for UiTM referral.

II. All other related software, systems, material, components, cabling and other accessories which are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the item must be provided by the tenderer.

I. All related catalogs / brochures shall be provided.

6. WARRANTY
|

|
|
I. Twenty (25) years of extended product and application warranty maintenance support from principle or distributor consists of equipment part replacement WHICH covers end-to-end copper cabling, outlets, and jacks within the horizontal cabling of a Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6A structured cabling system which has been tested and certified.

II. The tenderer must submit to UiTM the certificate / any proof that shows UiTM is entitle for 25 years Extended Product and Application Warranty upon project handover

III. IV. Maintenance support is needed during and after the warranty period. Tenderers must provide details of addresses of locations of after-sales service centers that shall be responsible for maintenance work for these items during the warranty period.

7. PROJECT DELIVERY PERIOD

I. The delivery period must be within 8 weeks after the tenderer has received the Offer Letter.
