1. PROJECT REQUIREMENT

I. The scope of this project is to deliver, install and test on-site for the fiber splicing/termination at the location specified by UiTM.

II. The tenderers need to propose the optimum specification for the equipment to function and integrate well with the existing system. Should any component that needs to be added shall be proposed by the tenderer.

III. The tenderer must ensure the availability, operability, reliability, and functionality of the supplied item components to function properly.

|
IV. All other related materials, components, and accessories that are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the fiber splicing/termination must be provided by the tenderer.

|
V. The tenderer must make sure all works are done properly without any damage to the existing infra/equipment. The tenderer shall be responsible for any damage that occurs.

VI. The tenderer must ensure that an experienced network technician does all fiber splicing/termination installations.

|
VII. The tenderer shall be ready to carry out the installation work when the local order is issued. The installation location will be determined by UiTM from time to time.

VIII. The tenderer shall submit an installation report for each point fiber splicing/termination to UiTM for approval.

2. PRODUCT REQUIREMENT
|

|
|
I. The fibers splicing/termination must be field terminated using fusion-splicing with factory-prepared pigtails to minimize signal loss and attenuation.

II. The fiber splicing/termination must conforms to EIA/TIA recommended standard.

III. The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in the form of hardcopy and softcopy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the item and accompanying software or the whole package has adhered to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before the final acceptance.

3. LABELING
|

|
|
I. The tenderer shall ensure all cable ends must be labeled and the label must be easily read, long-lasting, and waterproof. Tenderer should label at panel, switch, face-plate, cables end, etc

4. TECHNICAL/OPERATING MANUAL, ENGINEERING SERVICES, AND OTHER ACCESSORIES

|
I. The tenderer shall provide a user operating/technical manual for UiTM referral.

II. All other related software, systems, material, components, cabling and other accessories which are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the item must be provided by the tenderer.

5. WARRANTY AND SUPPORT
|

|
|
I. One (1) years of maintenance support from principle consists of equipment part replacement WHICH covers all permanent copper cabling, outlets, and jacks within the horizontal cabling of a Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6A structured cabling system which has been tested and certified.
Please attach a Letter of Warranty (LoW) from Principle.

II. The tenderer shall be responsible for the installation, test-run, and commissioning of the equipment and accompanying software to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance. All costs on the installation, commissioning and test run shall be borne by the tenderer during the warranty period.

III. Maintenance support is needed during and after the warranty period. Tenderer must provide details of addresses of locations of after-sales service centers that shall be responsible for maintenance work for these items during the warranty period.

IV. Free support through fax, email, telephone must be provided during the warranty period.

V. A maximum of 4 hours response time to attend to problem call on breakdown of equipment or component is to abide by the tenderer.

6. PROJECT DELIVERY PERIOD
|

|
|
I. The delivery period must be within 8 weeks after the tenderer has received the Offer Letter.

II. If there is a delay in project delivery, the tenderer must apply for an extension at least 1 month before the delivery period ends.

7. IMPORTANT STATEMENT TO TENDERER

|
I. Any documents presented or submitted by the tenderer in this Dokumen Teknikal MUST NOT DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO THE COMPANY'S NAME, LOGO, REGISTRATION NUMBER, ETC. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE ERASED AND NOT BE READABLE.
