1. PROJECT REQUIREMENT

I. This section of specification described and specifies the requirements for the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, handing over in approved working order and maintenance during defects liability and warranty period for Kerja-kerja Membekal, Menghantar, Memasang Dan Mengujilari 6 Core Fiber Optic Single Mode Outdoor Backbone From Kolej Mantanani to Kafeteria River View.

II. The tenderer required to lay complete set of fiber cabling from
- Switch Rack Kolej Mantanani to Kafeteria River View (250 mtr).
Tenderer shall ensure all cabling and splicing connection work complete with all necessary equipment and also with OTDR testing and reports.

IV. The fibre cabling is required to provide network backbone end-to-end solution from point A to point B.
The Tenderer required to make sure all cable route in manhole or conduit are available. Tenderer are advised to check detail the cable route.
**The actual location of the installation will be notified during the tender briefing.

A ) The minimum length of fiber cabling required for this tender is 100 meters. The tenderer is advised to get an accurate distance from the site survey. If there is an increase in distance, the tenderer is asked to complete the distance without any additional costs.
**Note: Tenderers may do a site survey after tender briefing or within the tender period.

V. The tenderer must ensure all fiber cabling installation to be done by a experienced technician / engineer.

A ) The tenderer needs to assign at least ONE (1) supervisor with Structured Cabling Certified to monitor the cabling works. The tenderer needs to attach the certificate to Dokumen Teknikal.

VI. The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in a form of hardcopy and softcopy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the item and accompanying software or the whole package has adhered to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before the final acceptance.

VII. Tenderer should ensure all existing network equipment/component/cabling
is functioning before and after project implementation. Tenderer MUST be
responsible for any issue as listed above.

A ) The Fibre cabling system shall use matched components from a single manufacturer, and the cabling system shall certify to deliver system performance over the lifetime of the applications for which the cabling system was originally designed to support.

VIII. The tenderer needs to propose the optimum specification for the equipment to function and integrate well with the existing system. Should any component that need to be added shall be proposed by the tenderer.

2. PRODUCT REQUIREMENT

I. The Tenderer shall ensure all cabling must conform to EIA/TIA recommended standard.

II. The Tenderer shall supply 6 Core Singlemode OutDoor fiber cables used for backbone uplink.

IV. The optical fiber cabling shall include all necessary fiber patch cords, fiber patch panels, cable guides and other accessories required to connect the proposed backbone switches, distribution switches and work-group switches.

V. Tenderers are required to supply the precise number of connector type which is Singlemode.

VI. The Tenderer shall supply precise number of fiber tray / fiber panel with 6 port SC Connectors.

VII. Fiber tray / panel shall be equipped with either a swing out mechanism or drawer for access to fibers.

VIII. All fibers must be field terminated using fusion-splicing with factory prepared pigtails to minimize signal loss and attenuation.

IX. The tenderer shall ensure all cable-ends must be labelled and the label must be easily read, lasting, and waterproof.

X. The tenderer must follow the standard specification electrical material approval list by JKR. Please attach material approval list by JKR in the technical proposal.

XI. The tenderer must be supported back-to-back by a principal (manufacturer) to provide maintenance services for equipment supplied. The tenderer should attach a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from Distributors/ Principal

3. TECHNICAL/OPERATING MANUAL, ENGINEERING SERVICES AND OTHER ACCESSORIES

I. User operating/technical manual shall be provided.

4. WARRANTY
|

|
I. Twenty five (25) years of maintenance support consists of equipment part replacement WHICH covers all permanent fiber cabling, outlets and jacks within the vertical cabling fiber structured cabling system which has been tested and certified. Product and Application Warranty from the date of installation against defects in materials and/or workmanship.
Please attach the letter of warranty (LOW) from the Principal/Distributor.

II. The tenderer shall be responsible for the installation, test-run, and commissioning of the equipment and accompanying software to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance. All costs on the installation, commissioning and test run shall be borne by the tenderer during the warranty period.

III. Maintenance support is needed during and after the warranty period. Tenderers must provide details of addresses of locations of after-sales service centers that shall be responsible for maintenance work for these items during the warranty period.

5. PROJECT DELIVERY PERIOD

I. The delivery period must be within 5 weeks after the tenderer has received the Offer Letter.
