1. PROJECT REQUIREMENT

I. It is the tenderer's initiative to acquire exact length for fiber installation. Please check and confirm the actual length during tender site visit. Tenderer are also require to make sure whether the fiber way (i.e. manhole) or trucking is available for a proper fiber installation.

II. Tenderer need to install the fiber optic in proper trucking.

III. All cabling must conform to EIA/TIA recommended standard.

IV. Tenderer must supply, install, testing and commissioning with end- to-end solution the 6 Cores Single Mode fiber cables are preferred for indoor network backbone up-link from point A to point B. Note: Please refer to the UiTM staff involved with this project for installation location details.

2. PRODUCT REQUIREMENT

|
|
I. The optical fiber cabling shall include all necessary fiber patch cords, fiber patch panels, cable guides and other accessories required to connect the proposed backbone switches, distribution switches & workgroup switches.

II. The Fiber cabling system shall use matched components from a single manufacturer, and the cabling system shall certified to deliver system performance over the lifetime of the applications for which the cabling system was originally designed to support. Please attach the Authorized Letter (LOA) from Principle or Authorized Distributor in Dokumen Teknikal. ** PLEASE DO NOT DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO THE COMPANY'S NAME, LOGO, REGISTRATION NUMBER, ETC. III. Tenderers are required to supply the precise number of connector type (Single Mode).

IV. The optical fiber cross-connect/interconnect system rack mount shall be equipped with either a swing out mechanism or drawer for access to fibers.

V. Tenderer shall ensure fiber cabling installation include with fiber panel and termination.

VI. All fibers must be field terminated using fusion-splicing with factory prepared pigtails to minimize signal loss and attenuation.

VII. All cable-ends must be labeled and the label must be easily read, lasting and waterproof.

VIII. Length of fiber optic and related conduit required must be measured and identified by contractor. Tenderer advise to do ducting availability and properly.

IX. Tenderer need to assign at least ONE (1) supervisor with Structured Cabling Certified to monitor the cabling works. X. Tenderer must ensure all fiber cabling installation to be done by professional network technician.

XI. The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in a form of hard-copy and soft-copy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the item and accompanying software or the whole package has adhered to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before the final acceptance.

XII. Tenderer should ensure all existing network equipment/component/cabling is functioning before and after project implementation. Tenderer must be responsible for any issues as listed above.

3. TECHNICAL/OPERATING MANUAL, ENGINEERING SERVICES AND OTHER ACCESSORIES

I. User operating/technical manual shall be provided.

4. CATALOGUE AND BROCHURES

5. WARRANTY AND SUPPORTS
|

|
I. ONE (1) year of maintenance support consists of equipment part replacement WHICH covers all permanent fiber cabling, outlets, and jacks within the vertical cabling fiber structured cabling system which has been tested and certified. Please attach the Letter of Warranty (LOW) from the principal. ** PLEASE DO NOT DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO THE COMPANY'S NAME LOGO, REGISTRATION NUMBER, ETC. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE ERASED AND NOT BE READABLE.

II. Tenderer shall be responsible for the installation, test-run, and commissioning of the equipment and accompanying software to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance. All costs on the installation, commissioning and test run shall be borne by the tenderer during the warranty period.

III. Free support through fax, email, telephone must be provided during the warranty period.

IV. A maximum of 4 hours response time to attend to problem call on breakdown of equipment or component is to abide by the tenderer.

6. DELIVERY PERIOD

I. Delivery period must be within 18 week after tenderer has received the Local Order.

II. If there is a delay in project delivery, Tenderer must apply for extension at least 1 month before the delivery period ends.
