1. PROJECT REQUIREMENT

I. To install and provide Fiber Cabling 6 Core Outdoor Single Mode End-to-End in Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Sarawak, Kampus Samarahan. Note: Please refer to UiTM Staff for detailed installation location.

II. Tenderer should make additions of the distance if there is any insufficient without any charges to UiTM.

III. Tenderer MUST ensure all fiber cabling installation to be done by professional engineer.

2. FIBRE CABLING REQUIREMENTS

|
I. The fiber cabling is required to provide network uplink end-to-end solution from point A to point B.

II. Tenderer's initiative to acquire exact length for fiber installation. Please check and confirm the actual length during tender site visit. Tenderer are also required to ensure that the fiber way (i.e. manhole) or trucking is available for a proper fiber installation.

III. All cabling must conform to EIA/TIA recommended standard.

IV. The Fiber cabling system shall use matched components from a single manufacturer, and the cabling system must be certified to deliver system performance over the lifetime of the applications for which the cabling system was originally designed to support. V. All components used in the fiber-based cabling system shall have warranty for a period of at least 20 years from date of installation against defects in materials and/or workmanship. VI. The Fiber cabling shall include all necessary fiber patch cords, fiber patch panels, cable guides and other accessories required to connect to the proposed backbone switches, distribution switches & workgroup switches. Tenderer shall ensure that all accessories are complete.

VII. Tenderer shall supply 6 Core Outdoor Single Mode Fiber Cabling for backbone uplink.

VIII. Tenderers are required to supply the precise number of connector type.

IX. The optical fiber cross-connect/interconnect system rack mount shall be a 12, 24 or 48-fiber Panel unit, with a double- density option to double the number of connections to 24, 48 or 96 without requiring additional rack space.

X. All fibers must be field terminated using fusion-splicing with factory prepared pigtails to minimize signal loss and attenuation.

6. WARRANTY

7. DELIVERY PERIOD
