I. The scope of this project is to deliver, install, test, and commission the UTP cabling end-to-end from the user's workstation to the patch panel. This includes the following items and its quantities:

A ) Cat 6 UTP Patch Cord 1 meter (Quantity: 726)

B ) Cat 6 UTP Patch Cord 2 meter (Quantity: 726)

C ) Cat 6 Patch Panel 24 Port (Quantity: 35)

D ) Blank Panel (Quantity : 70)

E ) Management Ring (Quantity: 70)

F ) Cat 6 UTP Cabling end -to-end (Quantity: 726)

II. The tenderer needs to propose the optimum specification for the equipment to function and integrate well with the existing system. Should any component that needs to be added, it shall be proposed by the tenderer.

III. The tenderer needs to propose relevant and current specifications, better than the user’s requirements.

IV. System setup and configuration must be performed and made good by the tenderer so that good service quality is achieved.

V. The tenderer must be able to do integration with the new and existing device (if any). The tenderer must make sure all integration is workable and successful.

VI. All other related software, systems, material, components, and cabling that are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the item must be provided by the tenderer.

VII. All proposed equivalent items shall be specified in detail in terms of technical specifications, model, and version number. (Please specify).

VIII. Refurbished or OEM products are not accepted by UiTM. The tenderer shall be responsible if there is any issue regarding the authenticity of the product offered.

IX. The tenderer shall include dismantle work (if any), and must make sure all works are done properly without any damage to the existing infrastructure or equipment. The tenderer shall be responsible for any damage that occurs.

X. The delivery period must be within 18 weeks after the tenderer has received the offer letter from UiTM.

XI. If there is a delay in project delivery, the tenderer must apply for an extension at least 1 month before the delivery period ends.

XII. ANY DOCUMENTS PRESENTED OR SUBMITTED BY THE TENDERER IN THIS DOKUMEN TEKNIKAL MUST NOT DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO THE COMPANY’S NAME, LOGO, REGISTRATION NUMBER, ETC. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE ERASED AND NOT BE READABLE

I. UTP Cable

A ) High Performance Category 6 RJ45 cable for 10/100 and 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections from stackable switch to network socket outlet that run in galvanized trunking / UPVC conduit (nod

B ) The UTP cables must support twisted pair cable type.

C ) The UTP cables support ANSI/TIA at least Category 6.

D ) The UTP cables must support cable-type unshielded U/UTP.

E ) The UTP cables must support solid conductor type.

F ) The UTP-based cabling system shall have a 250 MHz Channel Bandwidth over a maximum distance of 100 meters (328 ft) and a positive channel Attenuation-to- Power Sum Crosstalk Ratio (PSACR) at 250 MHz.

G ) The UTP cables shall support at least 24 AWG or better cables.

H ) The UTP cables must meet ANSI/TIA transmission standards.

I ) All proposed UTP cables must be terminated into RJ-45 outlets contained in faceplates that support angle mounting and are complete with shutters. Each faceplate may consist of one or more RJ45 outlets depending on UiTM requirements.

J ) The faceplate material shall be from high-impact type, flame-retardant, thermoplastic and UV resistant.

II. Patch Panel

A ) A total number of UTP Patch Panels must be of the same quantity as mentioned above.

B ) The UTP CAT 6 patch panel must support at least 24 ports that come with modular jacks.

C ) The UTP patch panel shall be in 1U rack space.

D ) The modular connector or plug for the UTP patch panel is RJ-45.

E ) The UTP Patch Panel shall have 16-gauge steel metal construction, and the modular holder shall be made of UL94V-0 gray or black fire-retardant plastic constructions.

III. Patch Cord

A ) All cable lengths must be of the same quantity as mentioned above.

B ) All patch cords supplied must be factory terminated.

C ) The UTP patch cord MUST support a higher signal-to-noise ratio, providing better reliability and higher data rates.

IV. Blank Panel

A ) Rack mount panels - minimum 1U

B ) Steel plate with a black powder coating or better.

C ) Pressed angled edging for added strength

V. Management Ring

A ) The Management Ring shall be made of aluminium or better.

B ) The Management Ring shall be 1U rack space in height.

C ) The Management Ring shall be 19 inches wide and can fit into the existing network rack.

D ) The Management Ring shall come with nuts and screws for easy installation.

I. The tenderer is required to perform the installation, testing, and commissioning on-site for the supplied item at the location specified by UiTM.

II. The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in the form of hardcopy and softcopy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the equipment and accompanying software, or the whole package is adhered to the satisfaction of UiTM before final acceptance.

III. The comprehensive commissioning report must include the User Acceptance Test (UAT) and Delivery Order (DO). The tenderer must also include other additional documents as proof if requested by UiTM.

IV. The tenderer shall ensure all items are labelled, and the label must be easily read, long-lasting, and waterproof as required as specified by UiTM.

V. The UTP cabling shall include all necessary items for a complete installation, such as proper trunking and conduit, patch cords, modular jacks, faceplates, cross-connect cables, cable guides, and other accessories required to connect specified end-stations to the proposed hubs or switches.

VI. Any cost related to installation and configuration shall be borne by the tenderer.

I. The tenderer must provide twenty five (25) years of extended product and application warranty maintenance support from principal or distributor.

II. Free support through fax, email, telephone must be provided during the warranty period.

III. Maximum of 4 hours response time to attend to a problem call on the breakdown of equipment or component is made.(State clearly)

IV. Turnover time for repair to be completed, or faulty component (or requirement) to be replaced must be not more than 48 hours. (State clearly)

II. CATALOGUES/BROCHURES:

A ) All related catalogues or brochures shall be provided by the tenderer in Dokumen Teknikal.

III. LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION

A ) The tenderer must ensure the UTP cables supplied are genuine products from Principal. Please attach a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the Principal/Distributor.

IV. LETTER OF WARRANTY

A ) All components used in the UTP-based cabling system shall have a period of at least 1 - 25 years (according to respective item). Extended Product and Application Warranty from the date of installation against defects in materials and/or workmanship. Please attach the Letter of Warranty (LOW) from the Principal/Distributor.

V. JKR’s ELECTRICAL MATERIAL APPROVAL LIST (EMAL)

A ) The tenderer must ensure UTP cable follows the standard specification electrical material approval list from JKR. Please attach the Electrical Material Approval List by JKR.
