1. GENERAL REQUIREMENT

I. The scope of this project is to deliver, install and test, and commission the Fiber cabling end-to-end from point A to point B. This includes the following items and its quantity:

III. Tenderer MUST ensure all fiber cabling installation to be done by a professional engineer. Please attach Engineer Certification and Co curriculum Vitae (CV).

IV. Tenderers need to assign at least ONE (1) supervisor with Structured Cabling Certified to monitor the cabling works.

V. Tenderer should ensure all existing network equipment/component/cabling is functioning before and afterproject implementation.Tenderer MUST be responsible for any issues as listed above.

VI. The tenderer must be able to do integration with the new and existing device (if any). The tenderer must make sure all integration is workable and successful.

VII. All other related software, systems, material, components and cabling which are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the item must be provided by the tenderer.

VIII. All proposed equivalent items shall be specified in detail in terms of technical specification, model and version number. (Please specify).

IX. It shall be the tenderer's initiative to acquire the exact length for the fiber installation. Please check and confirm the actual length during the tender site visit. Tenderers are also required to make sure whether the fiber way (i.e manhole) that runs in galvanized trunking/GI conduit trunking is available for a proper fiber installation.

3. INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING
|

|
|
I. The tenderer is required to perform the installation, testing, and commissioning on-site for the supplied item at the location specified by UiTM.

II. The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in the form of hardcopy and softcopy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the equipment and accompanying software, or the whole package is adhered to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance

III. The comprehensive commissioning report must include the User Acceptance Test (UAT) and Delivery Order (DO). The tenderer must also include other additional documents as proof if requested by UiTM.

IV. The tenderer shall ensure all items are labelled, and the label must be easily read, long-lasting, and waterproof as required as specified by UiTM

V. The optical fiber cabling shall include all necessary fiber patch cords, fiber patch panels, cable guides, and other accessories required to connect the proposed backbone switches, distribution switches, and workgroup switches.

VI. Any cost related to installation and configuration shall be borne by the tenderer.

VII. All systems require new electrical supply directly from the nearest electrical DB in GI conduit to avoid humming and noise to the system. Looping is strictly prohibited.

VIII. Tenderer must ensure that all terminal or interface work meet UiTM requirements. Tenderer must add and bear the cost for additional accessories and extenders needed.

IX. After the completion of all installation works, performance and function tests shall be conducted

4. WARRANTY AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT
|

|
|
|
I. The tenderer must provide a duration of extended product and application warranty maintenance support from the principal or distributor for the following items:

II. The tenderer shall be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and test-run of the equipment and accompanying software to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance. All costs on installation, commissioning, and test run shall be borne by the tenderer during the warranty period.

III. Free support through fax, email, and telephone must be provided during the warranty period

IV. A maximum of 4 hours response time to attend to a problem call on the breakdown of equipment or component is made. (State clearly)

III. LETTER OF WARRANTY

A ) All components used in the Fiber based cabling system shall have a period of at least 1 - 25 years (according to respective item). Extended Product and Application Warranty from the date of installation against defects in materials and/or workmanship. Please attach the Letter of Warranty (LOW) from the Principal/Distributor.

A ) The tenderer must ensure the Fiber cable solution follows the standard specification electrical material approval list from JKR. Please attach the material approval list by JKR.
