I. The scope of this project is to deliver, install and test, and commission the Fiber cabling end-to-end from point A to point B. This includes the following items and its quantity:

A ) Outdoor Single mode Fibre Optic Cable end to end (1000 meter)

B ) Single mode Pigtail

C ) Fiber Optic Adapter

D ) FIber Optic Patch Cord: 1.SM SC- LC = 1 lot, 2.SM SC-SC = 1 lot, 3.SM LC-LC = 1 lot

E ) Fibre Optic Cable Splicing Cassette

F ) Fibre Optic Patch Panel

G ) Galvanized trunking / GI conduit trunking (1 lot meter)

II. Tenderer should make additions of the distance if there is any insufficient without any charges to UiTM.

III. Tenderer MUST ensure all fiber cabling installation to be done by a professional engineer. Please attach Engineer Certification and Co curriculum Vitae (CV).

IV. Tenderers need to assign at least ONE (1) supervisor with Structured Cabling Certified to monitor the cabling works.

V. Tenderer should ensure all existing network equipment/component/cabling is functioning before and afterproject implementation.Tenderer MUST be responsible for any issues as listed above.

VI. The tenderer must be able to do integration with the new and existing device (if any). The tenderer must make sure all integration is workable and successful.

VII. All other related software, systems, material, components and cabling which are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the item must be provided by the tenderer.

VIII. All proposed equivalent items shall be specified in detail in terms of technical specification, model and version number. (Please specify).

IX. It shall be the tenderer's initiative to acquire the exact length for the fiber installation. Please check and confirm the actual length during the tender site visit. Tenderers are also required to make sure whether the fiber way (i.e manhole) that runs in galvanized trunking/GI conduit trunking is available for a proper fiber installation.

X. All cabling MUST meet all ANSI/TIA transmission standards.

XI. The delivery period must be within 18 weeks after the tenderer has received the Offer Letter from UiTM

XII. If there is a delay in project delivery, the tenderer must apply for an extension at least 1 month before the delivery period ends.

X. ANY DOCUMENTS PRESENTED OR SUBMITTED BY THE TENDERER IN THIS DOKUMEN TEKNIKAL MUST NOT DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO THE COMPANY’S NAME, LOGO, REGISTRATION NUMBER, ETC. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE ERASED AND NOT BE READABLE.

V. Fibre Optic Cable Splicing Cassette

A ) Fibre optic cable splicing cassettes shall be of the 19” rack-mounted type and consist of rear cable management to support the incoming cable. The maximum port of the patch panel shall be 48 duplex ports, 1U types, and shall comply with ANSI/TIA transmission standards.

B ) Adapter Type: SC / LC duplex with internal shutters

C ) Fibre Type: Single mode

D ) All fibers must be field terminated using fusion splicing with factory-prepared "pigtails” to minimize signal loss and attenuation.

VI. Fibre Optic Patch Panel

A ) The tenderer shall supply fiber panels in 1U of rack space.

B ) The Fiber panel should support at least 12 Core fiber with SC Connector.

C ) The Fiber panel shall support the pullout drawer, enabling ease of access to the fiber.

D ) The Fiber Panel shall support a wide range of fiber optic cabling management accessories, including fiber management clips, splice cassettes, cable grounding kits, and cable entry glands.

E ) The unused adapter ports in the fiber panel shall be covered by port caps.

F ) The Fiber Panel shall support a complete line of accessories to secure, organize and protect fusion spliced fibers; including splice cassette kits, splice cassette expanders, fusion protection sleeves and protection sleeve holders

I. The tenderer is required to perform the installation, testing, and commissioning on-site for the supplied item at the location specified by UiTM.

II. The tenderer shall prepare a complete and comprehensive commissioning report in the form of hardcopy and softcopy after delivery, installation, and testing to ensure the equipment and accompanying software, or the whole package is adhered to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance

III. The comprehensive commissioning report must include the User Acceptance Test (UAT) and Delivery Order (DO). The tenderer must also include other additional documents as proof if requested by UiTM.

IV. The tenderer shall ensure all items are labelled, and the label must be easily read, long-lasting, and waterproof as required as specified by UiTM

V. The optical fiber cabling shall include all necessary fiber patch cords, fiber patch panels, cable guides, and other accessories required to connect the proposed backbone switches, distribution switches, and workgroup switches.

VI. Any cost related to installation and configuration shall be borne by the tenderer.

VII. All systems require new electrical supply directly from the nearest electrical DB in GI conduit to avoid humming and noise to the system. Looping is strictly prohibited.

VIII. Tenderer must ensure that all terminal or interface work meet UiTM requirements. Tenderer must add and bear the cost for additional accessories and extenders needed.

IX. After the completion of all installation works, performance and function tests shall be conducted

I. The tenderer must provide a duration of extended product and application warranty maintenance support from the principal or distributor for the following items:

A ) Fiber cable end to end - 25 years

B ) Fiber Patch panel - 1 year

C ) Fiber patch cord - 1 year

II. The tenderer shall be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and test-run of the equipment and accompanying software to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance. All costs on installation, commissioning, and test run shall be borne by the tenderer during the warranty period.

III. Free support through fax, email, and telephone must be provided during the warranty period

IV. A maximum of 4 hours response time to attend to a problem call on the breakdown of equipment or component is made. (State clearly)

V. Turnover time for repair to be completed, or faulty component (or requirement) to be replaced, must be not more than 48 hours. (State clearly)

I. CATALOGUES/BROCHURES:

A ) All related catalogues or brochures shall be provided by the tenderer in Dokumen Teknikal.

II. LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION

A ) The tenderer must ensure the Fiber cables supplied are genuine products from Principle. Please attach a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the Principal/Distributors.

III. LETTER OF WARRANTY

A ) All components used in the Fiber based cabling system shall have a period of at least 1 - 25 years (according to respective item). Extended Product and Application Warranty from the date of installation against defects in materials and/or workmanship. Please attach the Letter of Warranty (LOW) from the Principal/Distributor.

IV. JKR’s ELECTRICAL MATERIAL APPROVAL LIST (EMAL)

A ) The tenderer must ensure the Fiber cable solution follows the standard specification electrical material approval list from JKR. Please attach the material approval list by JKR.
