1. GENERAL REQUIREMENT

I. The scope of this project is to deliver, install and configure, testing and commissioning 24 port Access Switch.

II. The tenderer needs to propose the optimum specification for the equipment to function and integrate well with the existing system. Should any component that need to be added shall be proposed by the tenderer.

III. The proposed item must be NEW and not refurbished or OEM.

IV. The tenderer MUST ensure the availability, operability, reliability and functionality of the supplied item components to function properly.

VII. The tenderer shall include dismantle work for existing / old network switch.

VIII. The delivery period must be within 18 weeks after the tenderer has received the offer letter from UiTM.

3. INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

|
I. Tenderer shall provide a user operating / technical manual for UiTM referral.

II. All other related software, systems, material, components, cabling and other accessories which are required to ensure full operation and integration with new or existing equipment of the item must be provided by the tenderer.

III. The tenderer shall be responsible for the installation, test-run and commissioning of the equipment and accompanying software to the satisfaction of UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA before final acceptance.

IV. All costs on installation, commissioning and test run shall be borne by tenderer during the warranty period.

V. Tenderer shall proposed all additional or required license to ensure the switch can operate to the optimum.

VI. Tenderer must document all switches configuration, management IP address and location in hard copy and must be submitted to UiTM.

VII. Any cost related to installation and configuration shall be borne by the tenderer.

VIII. Tenderer are required to provide training for the use, maintenance, troubleshoot or similar environment for the item.

IX. Training should be conducted for three (3) persons of technical staff or more assigned by UiTM.

X. The duration of training at least one (1) working days (8 hours per day x 1 days= 8 hours).

XI. The duration / time / training syllabus / number of participants for the training would be discussed on delivery of the equipment

4. WARRANTY AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

|
|
I. Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance support consists of equipment faulty replacement (Next Business Day8X5XNBD) and software upgrade shall be provided.

II. Response time to attend to a problem call breakdown of equipment or component is MAXIMUM 4 hours. The support must be within 8 hours of working days.

III. The switch shall have warranty for a period from date of installation against defects inmaterials and/or workmanship.

IV. Tenderer MUST propose and provide a genuine product.

V. Tenderer must ensure all switches installation and configuration are done by professional engineers.

VI. Maintenance support is needed during and after the warranty period. Tenderers must provide details of addresses of locations of after sales service centres that shall be responsible for maintenance work for these items during the warranty period.

VII. Free support through fax, email, telephone must be provided during the warranty period.

VIII. The successful tenderer must be supported back to back by principal to provide maintenance services for equipment supplied.

IX. If there is a delay in project delivery, Tenderer must apply for extension at least 1 month before the delivery period ends.
